Is a Pass Line Bet a Good Wager to Make?

The pass line bet is the most popular wager in craps. It is liked by beginners and experts alike.

Beginners like it because it is a relatively simple and easy to understand.

Craps veterans like pass line bets because they have a very low house edge of 1.41%. In fact, the casino advantage is so low that a game of craps in which players only made pass line bets would be considered one of the fairest casino games out there, alongside baccarat and blackjack.

Pass line bets can also be placed after the come out roll, but it is not advised, because you will have less chances of winning.

How Does a Pass Bet Play Out?

  • The best wins: if the point is rolled before a 7;
  • The bet loses: if a 7 is rolled before the point (see seven out).
