Point

In craps, the point is the value established by the shooter on the first roll.

The point is established if the shooter rolls a point number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) during the come out roll. When one of these numbers is rolled, the dealer puts the ON button next to that number to signal that it is the point.

With the point established, the shooter continues rolling the dice until one of two things happens:

The point is not established if the following numbers are rolled during the come out roll:

  • Craps out (2, 3, 12): pass line bets lose.
  • Natural (7, 11): pass line bets win.

The Point:

  • The value established by the shooter during the come-out roll.
