Stickman

In the context of gambling, a stickman is a casino staff member responsible for running the craps table. Amongst their other duties, stickmen are responsible for moving the dice to the shooter, taking bets, calling out rolled numbers, making sure that the point is marked after a come-out roll, encouraging players to make bets, and paying out their winnings

Stickmen are called such because they use a curved stick to move the dice to the shooter.

Other Staff at the Craps Table

In addition to a stickman, a craps table will usually also be serviced by a boxman and two base dealers. The boxman is responsible for overseeing the table’s chip bank and handles all chip-related questions (e.g. coloring out a player).  The base dealers’ job is to oversee the bets from players on each side of the table.
