Macau Casino Will Be Attacked And That’s A Good Thing?

It seems that the Venetian Casino in Macau will be under attack this Friday!

No worries, this is just a drill organized by the city authorities to better understand how to act should a real attack take place.

The exercise was dubbed Wolf Hunting 2019. Apart from the casino, various police departments, fire department, and other public-sector departments will participate in the simulation.

The drill will simulate the attack of armed intruders that will go all out: hostage-taking, fake bomb threats, and injuries included.

It is reported that this is not an exercise in vain, as Steve Vickers and Associates risk management group have stated in their risk assessment report:

“The prospect of a terrorist attack on a [Macau] casino is… a chronic worry.”

Additionally, the risk is corroborated by the infamous Las Vegas shooting in 2017, as well as Resorts World Manila attack.

Nevertheless, this would be the second casino attack simulation drill in recent years, as the previous drill took place at the Galaxy Macau casino that neighbors the Venetian.
