Always putting quality over quantity, Push Gaming likes to be slow but sure about their releases. And so after a successful beta-testing phase in July through one of the providers, the hotly-anticipated Mystery Museum slot is finally out.
Zeroing in on it, you get what you usually expect to find in a Push Gaming release. That is ultra-volatile gameplay, decent win potential, and familiar mechanics that are either given a twist or left as they are. As for the theme, the developers venture where they haven’t been before—an old-timey museum housing mystery and things of old from different ancient cultures. Worth exploring? Let’s find out!

Overview, Basic Rules
As usual, the 3D artists at Push Gaming have taken their time when it comes to aesthetics. Mystery Museum opens up to an eerie atmosphere, which might remind you of previous releases such as Dragon Sisters or The Wizard Shop. Not hard to guess, the setting is inside a dark museum, where bright sunshine permeates from above to illuminate antiques and a five-reel, ten-payline playing area. A suspenseful soundtrack in the background stitches everything together, though some will prefer to put it on mute from the get-go.
You can play Mystery Museum on any internet supported device on any browser. Click the ^ button on the UI to choose a bet ranging from €0.10-100, after which you should commence playing. There’s an option for auto-spins, but you can choose to avoid if you intend to use the Power Gamble™ feature. Although Push Gaming is utilizing it for the first time here, it will be recognizable to any slots pundit who has played slots like Play’n Go’s Pimped and Relax Gaming’s La Fiesta, to name but a few. Simply put, it’s nothing to be overly excited about: you gamble a round’s winning to either gain or lose it all. Most tend to ignore the feature altogether, but the prospect of winning 100X+ or some of that together with free spins here might convince them otherwise.
On to the math model, the game comes with a default Return to Player of 96.58%. Unsurprisingly, that increases to 97.04% in Power Gamble™, so no complaints as far as the RTP is concerned. As already hinted in the introduction, the volatility is rated very high, meaning that sessions are bound to go through stone-cold and mega-hot patches.

Wins occur every time at least three identical symbols are lined up on an active payline, starting from the leftmost reel. Mystery Museum utilizes ten regular payers, split into six high-payers and four low-payers. The low-payers are four differently-curved stones, while the high-payers are a pharaoh’s mask, a Viking helmet, a sculpture of Medusa’s head, and three differently-designed jars from the orient. Values are impressive, going up to 500X on a single payline. Wilds appear as a Samurai Kabuto, substituting for any regular payer while paying as much as the highest-paying symbol on the paytable.
Watch Out For the Mystery Stacks
The museum’s stained glass windows can show up on the reels as 1X2 or 1X3 stacked symbols. Land at least three in the base game and any 1X2 mystery stack will fill the entire reel right before they all reveal the same regular payer. The good thing with regular payers resulting from mystery stacks is that they don’t follow the left-right-orientation rule.
Bonus Round
The Samurai Kabuto doubles as the scatter. Land three, four, and five of them to unlock eight, ten, and twelve free spins, respectively. Any Mystery Stacks appearing here will turn sticky for the remaining free spins, always revealing a regular payer when there is a chance to win.
Mystery Museum – Our Verdict
Do you remember that kid in class who used to get everything right? Push Gaming is that kid in the slotverse. Every one of their releases is made to perfection, using well-thought-out features to dish out some decent wins. They claim wins can technically go up to 17500X on a single spin, but we highly doubt that. Mathematically, the best you can win here is 5000X (500X on ten paylines), which is still decent. Sure, the Power Gamble feature can make things better, but let’s face it. Very few will be willing to take chances with their hard-earned 2X to 50X wins.
