The world of sport was shocked by the recent announcement of Conor McGregor retiring from MMA. However, odds show that not all people take that as the final decision.
Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.

According to Paddy Power, the odds are not only on McGregor to return into the octagon but to pursue other disciplines as well.
- 1/2 Return to UFC
- 7/4 Start a boxing career
- 5/2 Moving to Wrestlemania
- 33/1 Release a UK No.1 single
- 150/1 Win an Oscar
Such odds are not really surprising, as the UFC legend has also said in 2016 that he will be retiring from the sport.
The odds on boxing career are also substantial, considering the infamous boxing match between him and Floyd Mayweather.
Wrestlemania may seem like a stretch, but Finn Balor, a WWE wrestler, has tweeted at the Irishman saying, ‘See you at ‘mania brother.’ Such signals are definitely picked up by the bookmakers.
Other odds, which seem like novelty bets, are still rooted in reality, seeing the flamboyant character of McGregor and his popularity.
