Well settled in Malta, online casino game developer Play’n GO requested permission to supply its services in the Philippines.
PAGCOR (Gaming Corp.) and the Philippine Gaming and Amusement Council have already officially confirmed their permission to provide services to the Philippine gaming market. Therefore, it seems that Asia-Pacific countries will see a new online casino game provider.
Play’n GO has been operating since 2005. Today, the company already operates in countries such as Italy, Denmark, Sweden and the United Kingdom and offers a large number of online slot games, including Book of Dead and Cash Vandal, which have received significant awards within the industry.
In order to provide services in the country, entities must obtain a license from the Philippine gambling operator (POGO) from PAGCOR. This license is also issued to offshore companies targeting the Filipino market.
The Philippines is an interesting goal for companies. This is primarily thanks to the industry’s popularity in the country.
The gaming companies of China are occupying about 30% of the office area in Manila. Improving relations between the two countries assisted in the rise of the Philippine economy.
The international interest of the iGaming community in the Philipines is not surprising. Especially seeing that a whole day of ASEAN Gaming Summit 2019 was dedicated to discussing the online gambling market in the Philippines.
Therefore, it can be expected that many other game providers will follow in the footsteps of Play’N GO.
