In the context of craps, the term point number refers to numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. Point numbers are called such because the point is established if they are rolled by the shooter during the come out roll.
After the point is established, pass line bets win if the point is rolled before a 7, whereas back line bets win if a 7 is rolled before the point (seven out).
Non-Point Numbers:
Aside from point numbers, there are also non-point numbers. If these are rolled during the come out roll, the game ends with the following outcomes:
- Pass Line Bets win: on a roll of 7 or 11.
- Don’t Pass Bets win: on a roll of 2 or 3.
- The round is declared a push: on a roll of 12.
