Richest Poker Tournament to Take Place in London

The Triton Million Helping Hand for Charity poker tournament is to be held in London from July 31st to August 8th. This would be the richest tournament ever held, with a £1.05m entry fee. £50,000 of the buy-in will be a charity donation. The tournament also features £100k hold’em and £100k short deck.

The event is a part of the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series. Similar events of the series previously took place in Russia, the Philippines and South Korea. The event is exclusive and invitation-only, meaning that one can participate only if invited or if the player nominates you as a +1 guest.

Confirmed participants include some veteran players. David Peters, Rui Cao, Bryn Kenney, Tom Dwan and Jason Koon have collectively won more than £100m.

Among other notable guests, poker fans will find such Bobby Baldwin, famous as the 1978 World Series of Poker champion.

The buy-in will be the largest in history. What’s interesting, the tournament will prohibit to wear any apparel above the neck. This includes the usual sunglasses, hats or hoodies. Moreover, the nine final players will have to wear suits. Therefore, the event will not only be the richest, but also the classiest.
