Slot Details: Skin, Algorithm Stats, Paytable & Basic Rules

Vikings of Valhalla has an all-around cartoonish feel exhibited by slots from Swintt. There’s a boat rocking back and forth on the seas on a calm day on sea. The whole thing does the job, but it is not what a person used to Hollywood’s depiction of Vikings will be expecting to see.

Players can board the cartoonish boat Swintt has readied by placing bets ranging from 0.50 to 25 Euros. As for the other stats, the developer has turned up the volatility to max whilst keeping the RTP slightly below the average figure at 95.01%. This means that playing may sometimes feel like you are Bjorn in that Vikings scene where he takes three arrows to convince his Vikings to go into battle.

Typical of passing through the North Atlantic in the Viking age, a kraken tries to pull down the ship on every spin. It descends before bringing the ship down, though, to allow you to see whether you have landed a winner.

Speaking of landing a winner, it involves landing at least three of a kind, counting from the leftmost reel. The slot utilizes 243 ways, meaning that unlike a traditional paylines slot, the actual positions of the symbols do not matter. It also means that the potential can be lifechanging if you manage to win on a good number of these ways.

Moving on to the paytable, you shouldn’t expect surprises. Blackjack letters designed to resemble runic inscriptions form the low-pays as Odin, as well as random sea creatures and weapons represent the high-pays.

Tumble Feature

No matter how hackneyed, players never get tired of this one. So, as usual, winning symbols will disappear to be replaced by others that gravitate from the top, potentially leading to another win. In theory, this can go on forever, only coming to a stop when a tumble doesn’t result in a win.

Stacked Wilds

The kraken can show up stacked on the third, fourth, and fifth reel. It substitutes for all the regulars to help complete winning combinations.

Watch out for the Krakens!

The second, third, or fourth reel can turn wild on any base game spin. Sadly, wins as a result of this feature cannot trigger tumbles.

Bonus Round

The scatter is represented by the Valknut. Land three, four, or five of these to trigger fifteen, twenty, and twenty-five free spins, respectively. Retriggers are not possible, but at least the scatter is a payer.

Bonus Round Multiplier

Tumbles continue like in the base game, only that each increases the multiplier, starting from x2. The max multiplier figure is x10.

Vikings of Valhalla- Our Verdict

If we were to use a scale to give a verdict, we would give Vikings of Valhalla a 6/10. It gains the six because of the tumbles, as well as 243 Win Ways system that makes decent wins a possibility. On the other hand, it misses the four because of its infuriating slow pace and a theme execution that some will perceive as mediocre.
