Playson has been hosting monthly competitions that give participants the chance to win part of a €40,000 prize pool. From March 3rd through March 10th, players could participate in Playson’s Sunny Spring tournament. The competition included eight of the company’s top slot titles. Participants were awarded 10 points for every €1 won on the applicable games. Players had to first take place in 20 qualifying spins before being able to participate in the competition. Then, the minimum bet for each following spin would be €0.50, and the proceeding wins were recorded on a leaderboard. The top 200 players would receive a cash prize, with the highest sum €6000 and the lowest sum being €80. The Sunny Spring tournament had 38,440 qualified players. Its top scorer racked up over 5 million points, which is the equivalent of approximately €500,000 won on qualifying slot spins.
The next competition, Hot Pursuit, took place between April 17th and April 20th. This tournament offered daily drop mechanics, which gave players a chance to win some of the daily prize pool of €10,000. Overall, there was a total of €40,000 split into four daily pools. In April’s competition, players could play on 10 qualifying slot games. Throughout the duration of Hot Pursuit, almost 2,000 players participated each day. The highest prize taken home was €5,000, while the lowest prize was €20.

On April 21st, which was the day after Hot Pursuit wrapped up, Playson announced that it would be holding monthly CashDays. These slot tournaments will take place during the 1st-8th of each month. The competitions will continue to feature Playson’s top games, and the prize pool will remain at €40,000. Applicable games will be chosen from Playson’s list of top 10 games for that month.
Upcoming tournaments will implement different types of scoring methods and a variety of mechanics to keep things fresh for players. One such mechanic that could be implemented again is the Daily Drop.
Playson has monthly events planned through the end of Quarter 3 of its 2020 fiscal year. The company’s partners can opt in to receive marketable materials.
Playson’s Head of Account Management, Michael Tadross, stated that the company has been participating in “big money” tournaments for a while and that they have been extremely popular among playing participants as well as operators. Therefore, it was only logical for Playson to decide to implement the competitions on a regular basis. Tadross said that these monthly promotions would help Playson’s partners increase their engagement and improve player retention. Tadross is looking forward to proceeding with the monthly games and is excited to spread the word among players.
According to Playson’s press release, the next slot tournament should take place from May 1st to May 8th. So far, the next competition’s theme has not been announced, nor have any details about the qualifying games or prize allocation been given.
